LEASING

Speaking in label terms, “leasing” is more a tool for the artist than a deal or service to get the artist a release in front of a YouTube audience. No more, no less.

“Leasing” is named after the car leasing scheme, as it bears the most resemblance to any other service. Both have in common that the service provider owns the content until it’s paid off.

Services & Terms:

• 3-year license deal for the signed Release and NOT yourself or your IP in any way
• Until the preagreed costs (normaly $400) are paid off, all the royalties go to the label
• After the costs are paid of the artists gets 80% and the label gets 20% of the royalties
• If not agreead otherwise, the only service that the label provides is
  • Distribution to DSPs
  • Placment on a Youtube channel
